Raising the bar on lowering its carbon footprint for climate action, CDL has become the first real estate developer in Singapore and the first real estate conglomerate in Southeast Asia to sign the WorldGBC’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment. Recognised for its bold architectural design and conservation, regeneration, and sustainability approach, New Futura is the only residential development winner in the 2020 ULI Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence.
CDL has been ranked the top developer in the Building and Construction Authority’s "Search for Quality Housing" online tool since 2017. The tool compares developers and properties based on a Construction Quality Assessment System and Quality Mark. Five of CDL’s projects – The Venue Residences, The Glyndebourne, Tree House, Nouvel 18, and Hundred Trees – are also listed among the top 10 properties in Singapore.
For its robust and multipronged climate and water strategies and disclosures, CDL is the only company in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong to be recognised on both the 2019 CDP A List for corporate climate action and 2019 CDP A List for water security.
CDL entered into an agreement to acquire a 51.01% joint controlling interest in Sincere Property for an initial investment of RMB 4.39 billion. Upon completion of the transaction, CDL will hold a joint controlling interest in Sincere Property via an offshore investment vehicle, making CDL the single largest shareholder of Sincere Property.
